The Route
Your route will take you through the stunning Giant’s Causeway, a World Heritage Site, on the north coast of Northern Ireland. Most famous for its 40,000 interlocking, basalt columns, the coastal trail has much more than that to offer.
Portnaboe Bay
Start your journey through Portnaboe Bay where you will learn how the causeway came to be and begin to hear about Finn McCool, the causeway’s giant.
The Grand Causeway
This section of the trail will lead you to the famous Giant’s Causeway itself, but on the way you will learn of many other wonders like the Organ, the Wishing Chair and the Giant’s Boot.
The Clifftop Trail
On your return, take in the breathtaking scenery as you follow the clifftop trail, high above the sea, where you may even catch a glimpse of Scotland.
